The Grierson Documentary Festival Celebrates the best in British documentary filmmaking from student projects to international cinematic releases. The festival chooses to award the most interesting and informative filmmaking that has made a significant contribution to the genre and demonstrate quality, integrity, creativity, originality and overall excellence.
The modular grid system transforms to fit the space provided and highlight key information, it references the boxy interiors of cinema screens and camera viewfinders finding and accentuating the subjects onscreen.
Monotone and neutral colours are chosen in order to show respect to the imagery offered by the films themselves rather than overpower or distract.
